Powermax Engineering Ltd have developed a process to upgrade and convert your existing chain driven balance unit to suit the modern gear driven version. We complete this be re-manufacturing your existing unit to accept the OE gears used in post 2006 VAG vehicles.

Our service odders a significant saving over the dealers option as we re-use you exisitng unit and no need to purchase a replacement sump. This kit includes all OE parts required including a crankshaft gear, idler gear, oil pump gear and key drive.

This is a service-exchange process that we provide to repair your balance shaft. Few options on how to avail of this service are:

• Ship us your balance unit, we carry out the conversion and ship it back with the OE gear kit and complete instructions.
• We ship you a pre-repaired unit with the OE gear kit and instructions and you return old one when removed from balance unit. (surcharge applied until return of old shaft is recieved)

This is a complete bolt on kit (after our conversion) and requires no special tools however some basic mechanical knowledge is required to fit onto the vehicle as per instructions.

BEFORE RE-FITTING THIS REPAIR, YOUR ENGINE NEEDS TO BE CHECKED TO ENSURE THAT NO OTHER DAMAGE HAS BEEN CAUSED BY OIL STARVATION, IE. TURBOCHARGER, CRANKSHAFT, ETC.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT FITTING THIS CONVERSION WILL TAKE YOUR VEHICLE AWAY FROM MANUFACTURER ORIGINAL SPECIFICATION.

THE PARTS WE SUPPLY ARE COVERED BY A 3 MONTH WARRANTY. THIS WARRANTY ONLY COVERS REPLACEMENT OF THE PARTS WE HAVE SUPPLIED, NOT LABOUR INVOLVED OR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE CAUSED BY OIL PUMP PROBLEMS.
